The Warrior Group Introduced
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the premier party of heroes who will separate from the primary party to begin their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (played by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (Sam Riegel), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
This explains, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three smaller tables: Warriors, Planners, and Explorers.
Characteristics of the Combat Party
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the combat-focused party is for participants who are drawn to a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are few and far between.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might look mismatched, but the events of the latest installment show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the party understands precisely where to head next after a brutal opening clash with the antagonists.
An old friend of Thjazi—whose passing started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his own means, entering the hidden lair, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to dispose of.
Casimir then settled his obligations and escaped to a fortified location in the northern region, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Additionally, each character has a personal reason to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, seeks vengeance.
- Kattigan knows the northern area and warns that it is a dangerous place.
- Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to execute Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group reach locations they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Additionally, Teor pledged a life debt to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.
Fugitives
Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making lingering locally too risky:
- The rogue and The character are notorious outlaws.
- The strong figure and Wicander defied the influential house and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The fighter is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to head to the northern region in search of the antagonist.
